SALEM, Va. - The Virginia Wesleyan University men's cross country team finished seventh out 18 teams at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Preview on Saturday morning in Salem, Va. The Marlins totaled 161 points, averaging a 27:27 for the 8-kilometer race.
Topping the pack was Skyler Lattuca, who placed fourth out of the 160 runner field. The junior crossed the finish line in 25:36.7, just a few seconds shy off his personal best.
Next to cross the line was Louis Wolverton, who took 27th with a time of 26:52.0. Jordan Sulcer was not far behind him as his time of 27:14.6 was good enough for 34th overall. Michael Tres was the next to finish for the Marlin squad, clocking 27:51.9.
Also finishing in the top 100 runners were Ezekial Herrara-Bevan (29:39.6) who placed 85th and set a personal record, Christian Roden (30:00.1) who placed 91nd and Trey Massey (30:01.2) who placed 93rd.
Men's cross country returns to action again on October 5th as the Marlins travel to Salisbury, Md. for the Don Cathcart Inviational
