Women's Golf Claims Fifth at Conference Championship

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – The Virginia Wesleyan University women's golf team finished fifth at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship Tuesday afternoon played at Bryan Park Champions Course. The team shot its lowest total of the three days (364), to earn them a team score of 1131 (+72).

Hannah Turner finished her career as a Marlin in a big way, taking fifth overall. The senior churned out five birdies, including three on the back nine, to give her a 79 (+6) on the day. Saving her best round for last, Turner's three-day total came out to a 251 (+32).

Maggie Kingora used the final day to jump up one spot as well, finishing the Championship in 12th overall. The junior shot an 87 on the final day to give her a three-round total of 265 (+46). Right behind her was Ashlee Bobzin, who claimed 22nd overall. She turned in a 102 on the final day, finishing with a 299 (+80) on the tournament.

Rounding out the Marlin squad was Sarah Conley, who shot a 96 on day three, her best score by 13 strokes. She placed 27th, with a 316 (+97).
