Women's Golf Sits In Fifth After ODAC Championship Opening Round

BROWN SUMMIT, N.C. - The Virginia Wesleyan University women's golf team is currently in fifth place after round one of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships played at Bryan Park Champions Course. The team finished with a combined score of 384 giving them a +92.

Hannah Turner produced the Marlins' low scorecard on the day, shooting an 85 for a +12 on the day. Her best hole came on six as she birdied it. Her efforts earned her a tie for seventh in the 31-person field.

Next lowest score came from Maggie Kingora, who finished in a tie for 14th. She produced a 93, which was 20 strokes over par. Ashley Bobzin was right behind her as her 97 (+24) which earned her 24th place and Sarah Conley rounded out the Marlin crew with a 109 (+36).

Women's golf will return to action again on Monday morning as they compete in Day Two of the ODAC Championship.
