ROANOKE, Va. – The Virginia Wesleyan University men's swim team dropped its dual meet with Randolph, 97-64, Saturday afternoon on the road. With the result, the Marlins are now 1-4 against ODAC opponents this season.
Kyle Woolf put on a solid display for the Marlins, taking first in the of seven in the 100-yd freestyle. His time of 57.19 was nearly a second faster than the next finisher ant only .12 seconds slower than his personal beast.
In the distance events, Max Currens was just able to squeak out a PR in the 500-yd free as his time of 5:49.22 was .03 faster than his current best. The freshman also picked up a PR in the 100-yd free as his time of 12:00.51 shaved of just under half a second.
Men's swimming will return to the pool at 1 p.m. on Saturday as the team hosts Greensboro College for a non-conference dual.
