VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Tyler Conn of the Virginia Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team has earned an All-America Honorable Mention nod as voted upon by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA).
Earning his accolade as a long stick midfielder, Conn was a staple in the starting line up for the Marlins. Appearing in all 16 games for VWU, the junior racked up 33 points on 19 goals and 14 assists. One of his top performances came in a win over Randolph as he tucked away four goals and assisted on another.
Defensively, Conn made his presence felt as well. The Seguin, Ont. native led the squad in caused turnovers, forcing his opponents to cough up the ball 25 times.
At the faceoff 'X', Conn used his long stick to his advantage as he won 52 of his 109 faceoff attempts.
