Men's Golf Slides to Ninth After Day Two of the ODAC Championship

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – The Virginia Wesleyan University men's golf team is in ninth place after day two of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship played on Bryan Park Champions Course. The team shot a 331 in their second round, giving them a +82 with one more round to go.

Keith Cooper once again had the low score for the Marlins, turning in an 80 (+8) after another 18 holes. The senior came around the turn nicely as he birdied both 10 and 11 but struggled to maintain over the final four holes. Cooper currently sits in a tie for 13th overall.

Behind Cooper was Taylor Cunningham, who ended the day tied for 43rd as he shot an 83 (+11). On the day though, it was Stone Skeeter who shot the Marlins next lowest score, using an 82 to propel him to a tie for 46th. Both Cunningham and Skeeter birdied the same holes as Cooper.

Although tied for 46th with Skeeter, Noah Phillips shot an 86 on Monday, finding birdies on hole six and 15. Jackson Lyons was one stroke behind him, closing out the round with an 87.
