VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Virginia Wesleyan University men's golf team had two members receive All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honors on Tuesday. Carter Morgan was named to the All-Conference First Team while Kevin Duffy garnered Third Team honors.
Morgan has been a stalwart in the Marlin line up this season, posting a team best average of 74.3 strokes a round. The sophomore has played 19 rounds this season, amassing seven top-10 finishes, four of which found him finishing in the top-five. His top finish of the year came at the Glenn Heath Memorial where he claimed second overall and his top score came at the Greene Turtle Invitational where he shot a 68 in the opening round.
Duffy finished out his Marlin career with another solid season, averaging 75.8 strokes per round in 2017-18. The senior has played all 19-rounds the Marlins competed in this season, nabbing four top-10 finishes. Duffy's top moment came at the squad's home tournament, the Marlin Invite, where he topped the entire field with a score of 146 (+2). The Suwanee, Ga. Natives top round of the year came at the VSGA Intercollegiate as he turned in a round one scorecard of 70 (-2).
Men's golf concluded its season on Monday as it took home third place in the ODAC Championships at Bryan park in Brown Summit, N.C.
