DATAW, S.C. - The Virginia Wesleyan University men's golf team finished seventh at the Taylormade Intercollegiate at Cotton Dike Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon. The squad shot a 955 (+90) in its first tournament of the year.
Leading the pack for the Marlins was Carter Morgan, who shot a +15 through the three rounds. The sophomore tallied his top score in the final round, shooting a 74 (+2), which put him at fifth overall. Close behind was teammate Kevin Duffy, whose +20 put him at 17th out of the 96 golfers. The senior followed his fellow Marlin with a top score on the last day as he shot a 76 (+4).
Men's golf will swing back into action on March 22nd as it heads to Jacksonville, N.C. for the Marine Federal Credit Union Invitiational.
