More Records Set for Women's Swimming In Day Two of Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C.- It was another successful day for the Virginia Wesleyan University women's swim program as the squad saw plenty of school records toppled at day two of the ODAC Championships. The Marlins currently sit in 9th place with 68 team points.

Much like day one, the Marlins were swimming fast in the relay events. Morgan Lucas, Diana Jones, Hayley Heath and Ashley Whipple teamed up to set a time of 2:18.21 in the 200-yard medley relay, moving them to the top of the VWU record list. Just after that the relay team of Miah Kurtz, Tayor Morich, Jones and Amanda Waller took down another school record as they clocked a 10:36.23.

Individually, Heath put in two solid runs during some time trials. She set a school record in the 100-yd backstroke with a time of 1:15.27, before setting a personal best in the 100-yd breast touching the wall at 1:26.10.

Women's swimming will return on Sunday for the final day of the ODAC championships.
