Women's Swimming Picks Up Win in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Virginia Wesleyan University women's swim team picked up a win against William Peace University, downing the Peacers 106-10. The team also picked up losses against Greensboro (97-76) and Guilford (99-64).

Amanda Waller and Hayley Heath got the day going for the Marlins as the pair finished first and second in the 200-yd free, respectively. Waller clocked in at 2:25.63 (just .32 seconds behind the school record), while Heath came in just seven seconds later. Heath picked up another second place finish a little while later as she timed a 1:06.57 in the 100-yard free.

The Marlins would set a new school record in the 200-yd free relay as Miah Kurtz and Taylor Morich teamed up with Waller and Heath to turn in a time of 2:10.71.

Women's swimming will be back in the pool on Friday as the team heads to Bridgewater for a tri-meet with the Eagles and Hollins.
