  • Awards Continue to Pile Up for Traficante

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. ? Zoe Traficante of the Virginia Wesleyan University women?s soccer team was recognized for two major awards over the past few days. She was named a Scholar All-America Second Team member by the United Soccer Coaches (USC) before earning a spot on the Second Team All-State roster as voted by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID).
  • Women's Soccer Finishes #24 In National Poll

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches have come out with its final rankings for the 2017 season, placing the Virginia Wesleyan University women’s soccer team at 24th in the country. The Marlins had received votes in the previous two polls, this being the first time of the year to crack the top-25.
  • Traficante, Adamchak Named All-Region

    Senior Zoe Traficante and junior Brooke Adamchak were named all-region selections on Wednesday as United Soccer Coaches announced its annual awards. Traficante was a First Team All-South Atlantic Region pick while Adamchak garnered All-South Atlantic Second Team laurels.

    Virginia Wesleyan University forward Anna Pedicone earned ODAC Rookie of the Year recognition to headline the All-ODAC women's soccer awards released on Wednesday.Lynchburg College centerback Emily Maxwell received two special awards, garnering both the ODAC Player of the Year by the league's head coaches and the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete by the conference's sports information directors. Bridgewater College mentor Mike Van Horn picked up ODAC Coach of the Year laurels.
  • NCAA Preview: Marlins Face Tufts in First Round

    The Virginia Wesleyan University women's soccer team will travel to The College of New Jersey for the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament this weekend. The Marlins will face Tufts University while the host Lions will challenge Roger Williams University. TCNJ will host Roger Williams at 11 a.m. on Saturday, followed by the VWU-Tufts match at 1:30 p.m. The two winners will compete for a spot in the Round of 16 on Sunday at 1 p.m.
