KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Junior Zoe Traficante continues to pull in postseason recognition following an impressive campaign. Traficante collected NSCAA Scholar All-East Region Third Team honors as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America released the teams.

Traficante, a mathematics major, holds a 3.71 cumulative GPA after a semester which saw her earn Dean's List for the fourth time in her career. This is the first time she has been recognized as an All-Region Scholar by the NSCAA.

Traficante drew the start in all 21 matches for the Marlins while serving as the center midfielder for Virginia Wesleyan. She helped on both the offensive and defensive end and was instrumental in turning the field for VWC. Both of her goals on the year were game winners as she scored on a penalty kick at Randolph College on September 24 and posted an overtime goal at Bridgewater College on October 19.

Traficante was one of only two ODAC players to find their names listed on the NSCAA Scholar All-East Region team.
