Women's Golf Sits In Sixth After Day One of the Greene Turtle Invite

FRONT ROYAL, Va. - The Virginia Wesleyan University women's golf team had a solid opening day performance at the Greene Turtle Invite held at Shenandoah Valley Golf Course on Saturday. The team currently sits in sixth place with a team score of 362 (+78).

Leading the pack for the Marlins was Maggie Kingora as she shot an 80 (+9) through the first 18 holes. The score was good enough to put her in a tie for eighth place overall.

Righ behind her were teammates Ashlee Bobzin and Hannah Turner who both turned in score cards of 93 (+22) after one round. Rounding out the five player squad was Sarah Conley with a score of 96 (+25) and Kathleen Vandenberg with a 138 (+67).

Women's golf will return to the course tomorrow morning to finish out day two of the Greene Turtle Invite.
