Men's Swimming Performs Well In Day Two of ODACs

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Virginia Wesleyan University men's swimming team turned in another solid effort on day two of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. The squad remains in 8th place, now with 91 total team points.

Kristian Rinkus and Stephen Carlo performed very well individually to set some new program top times. Rinkus clocked a 1:08.74 to overtake the top spot in the 100-yard breaststroke while Carlo now tops the record books in the 200-yd free with a time of 1:58.98.

In the relays, the team of Kyle Woolf, Matt Bavuso, Wade Jernigan and Patrick McKneely finished with a time of 9:16.53 in the 800-yd freestyle, a new VWU record. In the 200-d medley relay, Carlo, Woolf, Rinkus and Jernigan finished 8th as the team clocked a 1:53.64.

Men's swimming will return on Sunday for the final day of the ODAC championships.
