Men's Golf In Ninth Place After Day One in Ashland, Va.

ASHLAND, Va. – The Virginia Wesleyan University men's golf team finished out the first day of the Ted Keller Memorial Monday afternoon at Hanover Country Club. The team combined for a 354 (+70), putting them in ninth place.

Leading the Marlins was freshman Cameron MacClelan who shot an 83 (+12) on the day. His score was good enough to seat him in 40th overall.

Just three strokes behind him was Taylor Cunningham, who's 86 earned him a spot in 46th. Rounding out the squad was Jackson Lyons with a 90, Tyler Duncan with a 95 and Noah Phillips with a 98.

The men's golf team will return to action tomorrow as the team finishes out the Ted Keller Memorial.
