Men's Golf Takes 11th In First Tournament of the Year

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - The Virginia Wesleyan men's golf team maintained its postition through the final day of the Don Scalf Memorial hosted by North Carolina Wesleyan College on Monday afternoon, claiming 11th overall.

Recording the lowest score for the Marlins on the day was Jackson Lyons who matched his day one with another 81. The score was good enough to place the freshman in a tie for 44th in the 79 golfer field. 

Right behind Lyons was a pair of Marlins in Taylor Cunningham and Taylor MacLellan who both finished the two rounds with an 184 which put them in a tie for 51st.

Men's golf will be back in action on Oct. 8th at the Tom Kinder Memorial which is a two day invite in Ashland, Va.
